Xiner Xu
Ph.D Candidate in Economics
University of Toronto

I am a doctoral candidate in Economics at University of Toronto, where I specialize in applied econometrics and labor economics. My research focuses on business competitiveness and the future of work, particularly within the contexts of an increasingly globalized labor market and accelerated automation.

I am an active member of G-Lab, a research group at Rotman School of Management's Insititute for Gender and the Economy, and serve as a board member of the Canadian Women Economists Committee.

I earned my B.A. in Economics and German Studies from Cornell University, followed by a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Chicago. I was a James Bartlett Research Fellow at Energy Policy Institute at UChicago.
